I graduated in 2012 with a Ph.D. in physics from The Ohio State University. I work as a physics education researcher and am generally interested in advancing science education and discipline based education research. I am an expert in science teaching methodologies, best practices in science education, and communicating science to diverse audiences. I also have extensive experience in curriculum and assessment design/validation and enjoy working creatively on these projects. I have experience with secondary physics teacher preparation and am generally interested in student mentorship, especially undergraduate and high-school students, and broadening women and minority student participation and achievement in STEM.
