I conduct primarily qualitative research in undergraduate mathematics education with a focus on recognition of mathematical structure through informal reasoning (diagrams, gestures, examples), proof writing, and topology and advanced mathematics more broadly. I am also interested in teacher education, cognition, peer tutoring, and self-regulation.
